WORKSHOPS with SUSAN DANOFF

Susan has run workshops for educators since 1986.  She can custom design a program for your school and also invites you to attend her annual summer institute at Princeton University.  Workshop can run from half a day to a full week and topics include:

  • Storytelling and Writers’ Workshop
  • Telling Stories to Young Children
  • Storytelling and Literacy

  • Learning the Fundamentals of Storytelling:  A How-To Workshop

Team Building in the Work Place

In a workshop of three to five hours, Susan and Hetty Baiz work with groups of fifteen participants in schools or work places, using stories to build community.  This workshop can help employees get to know each other and feel more comfortable in the workplace, it can prepare a team to begin a new project, and it can dispel tension caused when employees have not had the opportunity to get to know one another.  Susan has been presenting this workshop on a regular basis with Hetty Baiz to employees in the Office of Information Technology at Princeton University.

Effective Storytelling for Nonprofit Leaders

Susan founded a nonprofit and ran it successfully for eleven years.  She has come to understand that successful nonprofits know how to tell their stories so that others wish to listen and, in turn, support the organization.  Susan is available to run workshops or work individually with your organization in order to discover your most compelling stories and tell them successfully to funders and constituents.

Introduction to Storytelling

Depending upon the group, an introduction to storytelling can be a short overview or an intensive experience.  This workshop is available for teachers, therapists, nonprofits leaders, and other interested groups.  One to five days.

Creativity Thinking

Experience your own capacity for  creative problem-solving  and creative expression through storytelling, writing, and visual arts.  Artist Hetty Baiz and Susan present this workshop together. Full day.

Retreats
