The Storytellers’ Journey

A Retreat for Women Storytellers
with Susan Danoff and Teresa Whitaker

at Cooper Hill Inn, East Dover, Vermont
July 31 – August 3, 2008

In our twelfth annual storytelling retreat we wish to create a magical space for several days where we can be with other women who also care about the powerful and elusive issues that are part of our work as storytellers. We will experiment with song, movement, writing, meditation, ritual, nature, and improvisation, to deepen our story work. Our evenings will be devoted to informal sharing of stories and song.  Participants must have previous experience with storytelling but need not be professional storytellers.

Cooper Hill Inn

Participants will have the pleasure of staying at Cooper Hill Inn which is nestled among the Green Mountains of southern Vermont and surrounded by open fields, forests, and gardens. In this idyllic spot we will have the luxury of morning, afternoon, and evening workshops; time and space for privacy and contemplation; home cooking; and the rare opportunity to build a community of storytellers.

Fees

Fee (shared occupancy):  $545.                            Fee (single occupancy):   $670.

Fee includes room, meals, and tuition.  Most rooms accommodate two or three people, but there are a limited number of single rooms. Special dietary restrictions can be accommodated.  Check-in time will begin at 3:00 PM on Thursday and the workshop will end after lunch on Sunday.
